Robert Pattinson
Robert Pattinson is one of the best actors of all time.
Mind you, I've seen some exceptional actors. I think Mads Mikkelsen is great. I also think the same for Ryan Gosling, though I've seen like two of his movies. 'Lars and the Real Girl,' however, is indeed a masterpiece; at least in my headspace.
If you ask me what my favourite Batman movie is, I'll go, "The Batman". Which one? You mean Curt Cobain? Christian Bale? "No. I mean, The Batman".
I certainly put Gosling and Pattinson on par when it comes to acting, especially in low-budget films with 'decent' storylines. I love them for being grounded and challenging themselves instead of carrying forward with what they were given. I know both of them, not because of their most "heart-throbbing" works. I've never seen 'La La Land' or 'The Twilight Saga'. Not yet. And probably won't.
I do not know much about Gosling because he's literally me. I know that he started very young and was always into films and drama — Pattinson was never that way. Things really changed for him after Twilight, and people noticed him especially for the same reason. He never wanted any of that, though.
Pattinson goes on to work in Indie films like 'Good Time' and makes up stories about how he gets "disturbed" by people and women all the time. He also hates showering somehow. He seems to be one of those actors who realises the importance of the status quo in cinema while maintaining his artistic inquisitiveness.[1]
Turns out, The burden to succeed is a real thing and a gruesome pain in the buttch33ks when you want to have fun working. Not many actors can transition their spotlight in the span of their entire careers. From being surrounded by teenage girls to motivated men -- both young and old. From being a dashing Edward Cullen to a dark and bruised Bruce Wayne. And from being critiqued to being applauded.
All I'm trying to say is that Pattinson has pulled off one of the most challenging things an artist could face, i.e. their public perception.
Robert can teach us the importance of getting away from the limelight to develop ourselves out of a role into a new one. Becoming someone we want to become and being known for what we want to be known for.
He teaches us the importance of staying relevant while being true to ourselves.
